Based in Redwood City, California, Electronic Arts publishes entertainment software for both PCs and console systems. The company was founded in 1982 by a group of associates that included Trip Hawkins, Bing Gordon, and Tim Mott. A number of companies fall underneath the Electronic Arts umbrella, including EA Games, EA Sports, EA.com, Maxis, Origin Systems, Bullfrog Productions, Jane's Combat Simulations, DreamWorks Interactive, and Westwood Studios.
