All three games in the trilogy have been crafted into one unbelievable package, with a newly implemented exclusive title menu with direct access to any of the three titles. Not only that, but players can also earn awards by collecting tokens through their progress across the trilogy, making for an ideal award system. Both Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes games have been updated with the refined control system of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Moving is done with the Control Stick and the Nunchuck controller, while the Wii Remote controller controls the Arm Cannon's crosshairs, allowing the player to smoothly and more accurately aim by pointing at the screen. The camera will move where the player points, making for more intuitive control, and allowing players to look around and attack while moving. Three different sensitivity settings allow everyone from beginners to FPS veterans to find a response speed to their liking. In addition to the new control, the Nintendo GameCube games have new features and improvements such as 16x9 wide-screen presentation, and improved HUD system to accommodate the new pointer control, some graphic improvements, and newly added new difficulty levels.
Based on the animated film Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, this game has you taking the role of Dark Knight, Batman of the future, to save Gotham City from the Joker. This side-scrolling game features hand-to-hand combat--you can explore the 16 levels in four gothic worlds to find ways to sneak up on your enemies, too. Use five different Batsuits--including attack, defense, and high jump--plus use 10 Batman gadgets, including magnetic nunchaku, smoke bombs, Dark Knight shield, retractable wings, and Dark Knight discus. Take care of Joker's henchmen--then do battle with the Clown Prince of Crime himself.
Originally released in 1987, Maniac Mansion was one of the earliest LucasArts adventure games, and the one for which the notorious and often-used SCUMM engine was designed. Known for its humor, difficulty, and multiple endings, Maniac Mansion allows the player to choose a team of three from seven playable characters to enter the Edison mansion and rescue Dave's kidnapped girlfriend. The only problem is, the Edisons are being controlled by a murderous alien meteor that is trying to take over the world by sucking brains out of unsuspecting teenagers. The 1990 NES port, while popular, was also severely edited, removing things like blood, foul language, and microwave-related hamster deaths to keep in line with Nintendo's family-friendly image. Though over two decades old, Maniac Mansion has a lasting legacy and has influenced numerous titles over the last twenty years.
