The Punisher: No Mercy was inspired by Marvel Comics' rich Punisher comic book history. With awesome characters, a customizable system, and fast-paced multiplayer action, No Mercy is breaking ground in the digital space. Powered by Unreal Engine 3, The Punisher: No Mercy was designed with fast-paced online multiplayer FPS action in mind. The game allows players to choose from an eclectic mix of Punisher allies and villains. Battle arenas span from shipyards rife with contraband to the "birthplace" of the Punisher’s archenemy, Jigsaw, and up to eight players can blast away at each other in a variety of solo and team-based missions. In addition to exceptional online play, The Punisher: No Mercy also offers a single-player story mode featuring exclusive artwork from acclaimed Marvel artist Mike Deodato.

Review

A first-person shooter starring the Punisher seems like a no-brainer. When Zen Studios announced that’s exactly the game they were making for the PlayStation 3, I’ll admit I got pretty excited. Then any word of the game vanished until earlier this summer. My hopes were once again high, as the idea of riddling the world with bullets from the end of a machine gun held by Frank Castle ran through my head. Had I known what awaited me upon starting up a game of Punisher: No Mercy, I would have traveled back in time to stop myself from making the mistake of downloading the game.

  • South Park

The South Park phenomenon leaps from the tube to the Nintendo 64 in this hilarious adult-themed game inspired by the hit TV series. A comet's close call with earth has unleashed a bizarre assortment of mutant turkeys and aliens on the mountain town, and naturally it's up to the kids to save the day. While you switch between the show's four main characters with the tap of a button, the kids battle the baddies on the outskirts of town using an arsenal of weapons ranging from snowballs (including the yellow variety) and sponge dart guns to toilet plungers and cow-firing bazookas.
Though South Park fans will love the 3-D translation of the show's signature flat animation style and original voices, hardcore gamers may tire of the single player mode's somewhat repetitive levels and overall lack of intensity. But for those seeking a playfully entertaining romp through South Park's ever-wintry world, this game delivers the fun. We spent the majority of our testing time playing in the multiplayer mode, a fast-paced free-for-all that kept us laughing into the wee hours of night.

  • Team Fortress 2

Team Fortress® 2 (TF2) is the sequel to the game that put class-based, multiplayer team warfare on the map. This year’s most anticipated online action game, TF2 delivers new gametypes, a signature art style powered by Valve’s next generation animation technology, persistent player statistics, and more.

Unlike other “class-based” games that offer a variety of combat classes only, Team Fortress 2 packs a wild variety of classes which provide a broad range of tactical abilities and personalities, and lend themselves to a variety of player skills.

Play as the flame-throwing Pyro, the room clearing Heavy, or the Spy, a master of disguises. Other classes include: Scout, Sniper, Medic, Engineer, Demoman, or Soldier.

TF2 features the most advanced graphics of any Source-based game released to date – and the most exciting class-based action ever created.
