Rock Band 2 Brings Even More Full Albums
Posted 2 months, 3 weeks ago by 00.19

Just about everyone from Gamervision headed off to PAX 08 today, but that didn't stop me from heading into the office to bring all you lucky readers the latest and greatest video game news. Of course, I don't actually have a key to the office, so I'm just sitting outside the door like an abandoned newborn, trying to get a decent internet signal. In those brief flashes of connectivity, I managed to come across this little gem on EW.com courtesy of the Rock Band forums. With Rock Band 2 just about 2 weeks away, EW has learned about the latest rockers to follow in the footsteps of The Cars, the Pixies, Judas Priest and eventually Rush. In the coming year, you'll not only be able to download full albums from Stevie Ray Vaughn (Texas Flood), Red Hot Chili Peppers (Blood Sugar Sex Magik), and the Foo Fighters (The Colour and the Shape), but you can also look forward to Dave Mustaine continuing to compete with his former Metallica bandmates when Megadeth's Peace Sells... But Who's Buying hits virtual stores. The hits don't stop there folks. Personal favorites Jane's Addiction will also be getting some love with the release of Nothing's Shocking, and you can look forward to a Rock Band best of No Doubt pack ala The Who.

I was way excited for the second installment of the world's most replayable game, but news of these albums being available for download in the next 12 months has me even more stoked. I don't quite have the vocal range to reach the Ferrell falsetto, but just being able to play through "Ted, Just Admit It" and "Jane Says" is enough to get my androgenous side fired up. There's sure to be much more about Rock Band 2 revealed this weekend, so stay tuned to Gamervision's PAX 08 coverage for more on one of the year's most anticipated titles.
