- Sweet New Far Cry 2 Map Editor Video

A new video is making the rounds for Far Cry 2. No, this one doesn’t show you how to cure your character getting dysentery. This one’s about the robust map editor the game comes with. Fans of Far Cry know the game has a pretty good history of level creators, and this new one doesn’t look to disappoint. I had both the Xbox port and the 360 port, and my three roomates and I were constantly trying to top one another’s created levels. Personal favorites include the first version of Camp Crystal Lake and the Island of Doctor Moreau. Whenever this finally comes out for the consoles (I’ll never be able to afford a PC that can play this game), you better believe I’ll be grabbing this and calling up all the guys for a night of pure Far Cry excitement.
It looks like they’ve upped the ante a bit from the last generation version. Though most of the interface looks to be about the same, the size and scope of the map looks to be juiced up. Even if they just gave me the exact same editor as the first game, but with the updated graphics I’d be sold, but this version looks to have some welcome additions. I can’t wait to try it out.
