Registration for Rockstar's new community social website, the Social Club, has opened today. You can't really do anything on the site right now beside select your avatar. If you register before the 29th of April than you are entered into a drawing to have a portrait of you created in GTA IV style artwork. Click here to goto the Social Club.
Upon the release of GTA IV there will be many cool features for for the Social Club. You will be able to track all sorts of information about the time you spend in Liberty City. There will also be leaderboards, tournaments, ongoing special competitions, virtual events, and more.
Another cool feature it will have is ZIT. For those that don't know ZIT is the ingame feature where players can call ZiT-555-0100 on thier ingame phone and listen to songs. They can they tag a song they like and buy the full mp3 off of amazon.com. Well when you tag a song ingame it will be waiting for you in the Social Club.
In other GTA IV news... Executives from Take Two Interactive have announced that GTA IV has gone gold. It will also be shipping to retailers next week and will be ready to be sol don Tuesday April 29th. This was announced as part of the company's general meeting of shareholders in New York.

Good lookin´ out, C-Dew! That´s an interesting take on interactivity. Though, it seems you could do SO much more w/that technology, it´s the start of something different in gaming (which isn´t always bad).
Btw, the site´s up. I just registered. =P
The new GTA title might just change the way developers think of making games in the future.....
That would be cool having a portrait of yourself done in Rockstar style art...
You're joking! I checked this before I went to bed last night (as well as about all day yesterday in 2 hour intervals), and it still wasn't up!
