- Devil May Cry 4

Quite possibly the worst game I have played on the Xbox 360 Platform. I usually finish all my games like a good boy, but I just couldn’t take it anymore. The game is chock full of great graphics and the character has lots of really cool moves. Yaaaaaay! I got about 1/3 of the way through. It just kept going and going and going, the same thing over and over. The flow of the game drove me crazy as it was easy to get lost, especially in the outdoor parts. In video game world, you kind of need to be pushed along a bit. Devil May Cry 4 will let you go all the way back to the beginning of the level and you won’t realize until you get there. As I played, I kept saying to myself, “Damn it. I hate this fucking game.”

Your review lacks a lot of supporting evidence...just because a game doesn't railroad you, and gives you the freedom of exporlation, you cast it down as a 1...? If that's all it takes to earn a 1 from you, I can only imagine what a 10 would be.
I agree with everyone that said this doesn't merit a "1". Although I haven't picked this one up yet I did play the other games in the series. Yes. It's easy to get lost from time to time. It may frustrate the hell out of you. You may even want to quit playing the game and trade it in. Who knows...
All I have to say is put the controller down and take a break from the game if it aggravates you so much. Play a different game for a little bit. Go ride a bike. See a movie. Whatever it takes to get it off your mind and then go back into the game full-throttle.
Play it. Beat it. Get on to the next.
Aren't all the Devil May Cry games just like this? I don't know. This is my first one but it seems like a style they have carried. I enjoy it for what it is in the same way that I would enjoy a B movie.
honestly, I thought the gameplay was amazing.
Considering how many times I died on normal in the 1st game, this game was a fucking breeze.
I would up the score here like everyone is saying... to me, a one means that the controls/hit detection are so poorly registering that the game is literally unplayable. If you hated it so much, why would you keep playing it? You can trade in games you don't like, or better yet, rent them online and get a new one sent to you.
I'll have to agree with everyone else and say this game doesn't deserve a one...
A ONE?! Dude... even Homie Rollerz merits a three...
Forgive me if I'm reading this incorrectly, but you're giving it a 1 because you got lost? I'm sorry, but frankly I can't accept that as valid criteria for giving a game a 1. Like Sarah said, a 1 means a game is fundamentally broken, and you just said it's got great graphics, and the main characters are fun to play as, which is how I interpreted "really cool moves."
If you're going to give it a 1 just because you got lost, does that mean the Metroid series sucks too? And Castlevania? I've gotten lost in Final Fantasy games, do they blow as well? I could go on and on with A-list games where you can get lost. Sorry if I sound harsh, but I think you need to rethink how you're doing these reviews.
Yeah, a 1 would mean that the game is basically completely broken... which it is not. Man, you reeeeeally hate that game!
Have you never played a Devil May Cry game? This game is pretty similar to Smash Bros. Brawl, it's for the fans. It's intended to be difficult and reward patient players. Well, hopefully when you sell it it will fall into the hands of a DMC lover. I loved the game.
Wow, a little harsh. From the sounds of it, should it have at least gotten, like, a 5?
