What Are You Playing this Week?
Posted About 1 month ago by Coop

Ah, a good week to be a gamer. There are two major releases for me this week, both getting a Video Review. I’m going to be attempting to edit and record my own on Mirror’s Edge without much help, but I’m sure I’ll need plenty of assistance from Gamervision’s lovely editors. I’m also going to record footage and begin another for Call of Duty: World at War, which will make it up at the end of the week or early next, depending on its length. I have high hopes from the early reviews, and maybe Treyarch didn’t screw it up.

I’ll also be dabbling in the cute, playing more Ninjatown and LittleBigPlanet. I’m working on the logistics of making a Portal Teleportation level, so I’ll see how that goes. I almost got it working - fingers crossed! I also think I might play some WWE for the DS, who knows what that will be like?

What about you? Nuts and Bolts? WWE? Or still catching up from last week? I'll likely still play a bunch of Fallout, I finally found - and ran from - ants. They scared me!

Fallout 3 has renewed my love for unrestricted exploration. Too long have I been following storylines and experiencing games linearly. Is this area to high-a-level for me? Good! I've got too much ammo anyway.

Ooohh, whats that over there? Mutants and Robots? Nope, Vampires and Bears!!! SQUEEEE!!!

Mirror's Edge, Fable II, Gears 2, Left 4 Dead demo, LBP, and Disgaea 3. Quite the list I wanna get a grip of this week, huh? Hopefully it will all come. Wish me luck!

I caved and bought Gears 2, so plenty of that. The L4D Demo too, of course.

Still spending lots of time with Fable II and LittleBigPlanet, now that I've beaten LBP I'm going back and collecting the items I missed, and I am progressing slowly but surely in Fable II. I keep getting distracted. "Want to be a bounty hunter? Kill 100 undead guys in a graveyard? Open this demon gate! Sure! Wait, what was I doing again?"

I've also been playing Valkyria Chronicles and it's great! I thought I'd had enough of SRPGs this year, but this one has such deep, fresh battle mechanics, it's unlike any game in the genre that I've played. I'm hoping to have that review up by the end of the week. Also, I'll have to check out Banjo Kazooie for review purposes. I wasn't super impressed with the demo, but hopefully the full game will be more fun.

On the handheld front, I'm playing Star Ocean: First Departure and Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ. Because of this list, Mirror's Edge will be waiting until after Christmas.

same old same old..

still having a blast with LBP and trying to get all the swag from every level. Still plugging away at socom when a few of my socom mates are on, trying to beat Eteranal Sonata (chp 7 out of 9) and on chapter 5 of valkyria chronicles which is quickly calling my name saying "i should be game of the year" Then once in a blue moon i find time to play some NHL.

thats about it
