- Battlestar Galactica MMO Announced

It has been announced today that Auran, developer of the Battlestar Galactica game for Xbox Live and the MMO Fury, would be taking the helm in developing a Battlestar Galactica MMORPG, published by Sierra.
So far information is scarce, with the only confirmations being that the only playable race is to be human and that it will take place during the first cylon war, or about 30 years before the current Sci-Fi series. This makes sense, as I couldn’t see an entire MMO being set on a single ship, especially when more gamers will buy the game on day one then there are humans supposed to be alive in continuity.
I can’t help but be excited, being a huge fan of the television series and all. After the heartbreak of Sony Online Entertainment ruining Star Wars Galaxies with horrible updates, I believe I am ready to, again, take to the skies in a science fiction MMO. You better believe I am going to hound Auran and Sierra for more information on what could be my new obsession for the next eight years.
