- Criterion Promises Large Burnout Changes
- Posted 9 months, 1 weeks ago by Coop
On the Burnout Paradise blog, the Criterion team has posted a little more information on the future of Burnout. While there isn’t any solid information that really means anything, they did say that the first three content packs have codenames, “Cagney,” “Davis,” and “Eastwood.” These will be updates much larger then the typical content packs, and apparently the code names are hints as to what their content is. They also go on to say “We will TRANSFORM Paradise over the coming year,” which could either be another hint or simply overexcitement.
Let’s start code cracking! The names of the three packs look to be actual names, with Cagney likely referring to actor James Cagney, Davis being Bette Davis, and Eastwood being Clint Eastwood. What these actually mean to the game I have no idea, but I am working with the tools I have, people! The only linking chain I can find is that they were all large stars in Warner Bros. movies, but I am not too sure what that means for Paradise City.
Here is the full blog post, any idea what it means? I am stumped.
New Paradise content - what do the new names mean?
You may have noticed us referring to our future new content by codenames. Just to clarify – you’ll see them in this order “Cagney”, then “Davis” and then “Eastwood”.
What we’re working on now goes way beyond conventional content updates, so we figured the usual 1.1, 1.2 version numbers didn’t do it justice.
We will TRANSFORM Paradise over the coming year.
...and we won’t hold back on this blog. Our goal is to bring you EVERYTHING - as soon as we have it.
We want to tell you what we’re making and why. We want to know what you think and you better believe we’re listening to what you have to say.
