In a press release issued earlier today, Electronic Arts revealed their new, free to play shooter: Battlefield Heroes. The game will feature a cartooney, Team Fortress 2 graphical style (or Pixar graphical style, if you will) and will be available in the summer of 2008. Apparently it will gain all of its profits with advertisements and micro-transactions.

Here is the full press release with details on...nothing, actually. So far very little is known about this title but, as a huge fan of the Battlefield series, I look forward to this new installment.
