- Gamervision Photoshop Contest: Cosplayers
- Posted 9 months, 3 weeks ago by Coop
Yesterday morning, eighty people dressed up as their favorite video game characters and walked across the Millennium Bridge in London. While it may not seem like a cool or hip thing to do, the stunt was part of an attempt to win the Guinness Book of World Records award for “Largest Gathering of Game Characters.” The award was given out almost ceremoniously to commemorate the release of the Guinness World Record Gamer’s Edition for 2008. Apparently Guinness decided not to count the thousands who attend comic and video game conventions each year, but that is an entirely different problem.
I am not posting this news to make fun of the event or the people in it, but to propose that the pictures taken by Guinness Officials might be the most Photoshoppable images ever.
Below is my attempt, and I suggest you do your own. The rules are simple: use the pictures included above (click to enlarge), make it more interesting, and keep it PG-13. The winner will be chosen next Friday, March 28. The winner will be awarded with a copy of Homie Rollerz for the Nintendo DS. That’s right, we are giving this bad boy away. You can post as many images as you want, but only one can be your entry. Have fun!
