Gamestop Removes This is Vegas From Computers, WB Replies

In what appears to be an ongoing trend this year, GameStop has removed This is Vegas from their computers. The Midway title was supposed to be released last year, but was pushed back around the same time The Wheelman was. Since then, The Wheelman was released, and until this point, the release of This is Vegas was up in the air. Amazon still lists the title for a November 30th release, but with no screenshots, trailers, previews, or news in the past few months, GameStop is likely acting on more than a hunch. When asked for a comment, WB PR was quick to reply.
When asked for a confirmation of the release date, WB PR had the following to say: "We don’t have any comment on the date. The game is still in production. Thanks."
Again, that this could be a mistake must be said, but GameStop is messing up less and less these days. Both EyePet and Alpha Protocol's delays were predicted by the retailer, and both of those companies actually have publishers. Midway, on the other hand, has taken a dive, and has since been picked up by Warner Brothers. Hopefully an official word on the game's status is given, but it looks like, at the very least, the game isn't cancelled. A delay, on the other hand, is likely.

(sigh) Oh, no. What a tragedy. Whatever am I supposed to do now? I went to Wikipedia to find out more about this "game" and found this interesting tidbit: "Midway spent between $40 million and $50 million developing This Is Vegas." Nicely done Midway. I guess all that money went to creating life-like representations of the time-honored traditions and rituals of the bro.

Oops... another big delay. Not a good year for that, eh?
