God of War: Chains of Olympus is still a few weeks away from its release in America, but some lucky reviewers already have their hands on retail copies of the title. So far, reports on the game are fantastic; stating that the title is likely the best PSP game and possibly one of the best God of War games yet. That said, makes sense that they wouldn’t take the time to flip over the game’s instruction manual and see the following image:

That’s right, the Omega symbol with "PS3" inside of it and "Coming Soon" written in the God of War font below. This is official confirmation of God of War 3 for the Playstation 3, a fact which anyone could have guessed. Even so, seeing Sony pushing it already means that it may meet its release date of... “Soon.”

That got me thinking of how “soon” we can actually expect the game. It is such an objective word and could mean as "soon" as this summer or as "soon" as next winter. “Soon” might be the safest word to say, but it really doesn’t tell us much.

Seeing the Omega symbol for the game is also a good indication of what its plot will entail. Rumors have been circulating that the plot will explain the “end of Greek mythology” and the teaser sure seems to agree with that idea. I’d like to see an epic ending to the God of War series - it deserves it. It has been so successful so far it would be a shame to see it milked until withered and pale. Come on, Sony! End this one with a bang!
