The Force Unleashed may have been force-pushed back to a September release, but that doesn’t mean anyone is less excited for it. If anything, the extra months of polish should also help pump anticipation for what could be the best Star Wars game since Masters of Teräs Käsi.

Lucasarts knows this, and as usual they are going to make it their job to ensure that our drool is accumulating into a puddle under our desks, and have announced to Videogamer.com that they plan on releasing a demo at some point for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game. While they didn’t comment on whether or not the demo would come before or after the release, they did say that getting a demo into gamer’s hands is definitely on the agenda.

I imagine the demo will cover the first level of the game: the oft discussed Vader stage that allows players to experience the force in all of its Wookie-killing glory. If throwing angry Wookies into the forests of Kashyyyk doesn’t sell you on a game, nothing will. We will be sure to keep you updated on all of the Force Unleashed news, and hopefully the information we bring to you in the future isn’t as depressing as the news we have brought to you in the past.
