I’ve mentioned on several occasions that Peggle is quite possibly the most addictive casual game ever made. It’s not as complex as a game like Puzzle Quest, but when it comes to a quick fix there are few games that can fill the void like it. That said, its presence being maintained exclusively on PC has been the only factor that kept me as a productive member of society. If the cruel overlords at Popcap had the vile darkness in them to consider a Nintendo DS port you would see a worldwide epidemic of indolence.

That said, look at this:

That’s right, suckers! Say goodbye to bonuses and commission, because Popcap has confirmed that a Nintendo DS version of cocaine is being pushed to our veins via the Nintendo DS this winter.  The PC version stole more time than I thought possible, and I thoroughly expect this one to destroy my Nintendo DS and, in turn, my fragile fingers.

Anyone who has waited for an excuse to play this be damned, the reckoning has come in the form of a cartridge! The zealot’s cannon will devour pious pegs as the skies turn bright blue with the flashing screams of bonus scores. We have been warned, my friends, we have been warned.
