Rockstar Spokesperson says GTA IV Will Take 100 Hours to Complete
Posted 4 months, 3 weeks ago by Dominic

    Again, taken from my blog.

What's the longest played time you took to complete a game? Nowadays games normally take about 6-16 hours to complete (personal experience data provided). Now imagine having to play a game for 100 hours? Sound impossible? Well, it's more than likely a very poor guess as to how long GTA IV will take to finish. Videogamer.com reports,

"During our visit to Rockstar's London HQ for a hands-on with 2008's biggest game, we asked a spokesperson how long it would take to finish the series' next-gen debut. The answer: about 100 hours, if you take your time."

The article goes on to state that the estimate includes having to answer your phone every time it rings and all the side missions. One can only assume that this spokesperson would've liked to add,

"Oh, and that includes every secret package and all the stupid mini-game bullshit that nobody really does. You know what, I just made that number up...forget I said that."

It's too late now silly Rockstar spokesperson, you may live to regret those words!

The key words are "If you take your time". The cool thing about GTA so far has been the ability to literally waste hours of doing nothing.

I don't really get excited about new games anymore. Too many disappointments. I am excited about GTA 4 though. I really hope it has addressed a few niggling issues that the previous games had.

I love that he contradicts himself before the end...

Why I declare that company must be worth at least $2 billion and four hotels!

well come to think of it, but didn't San Andreas take that long? I mean considering the sheer size of the game, side missions, and stuff, I guess that could make sense.
