I've disliked MGS since the second installment, where Kojima began preaching several hours about God knows what to the extent that I was literally begging for it all to end. It doesn't really matter that this game looks great; it's still going to have the godawful mega-ginormous story sequences that never end and gameplay that feels like you're trying to maneuver a small boat in a roaring ocean filled with treacle. Sorry, but MGS shot itself in the foot early on.

Its almost like its supposed to make you feel like you're more intelligent than you are for tricking stupid AI. Maybe that's why people like MGS so much.

I don't understand how a game supposed to be grounded in realism would ever allow you to do this kind of stuff. Those statues are nude, the camo wasn't nude. Anyone would notice a guy in full army gear with non-stone skin showing against greek nudes. Its fantastic but not "James Bond" fantastic, and I'm not willing to suspend disbelief for it. Unless as previously stated, this is a world full of retards.

My problem is not that I only like realistic games, but that in games that require you to use logic (see: stealth) it is sort of a requirement. How am I supposed to know if the man walking into the room will be able to tell the difference between a fruit bowl and Snake with a banana in his ear? Trial and error? Fantastic, we are back to the Atari.

Visually and aesthetically the game looks great, but gameplay-wise, I am not even the least bit impressed. Going to the menu to change almost every little thing Snake does is completely tedious and really slows down the pace to an already rather methodical franchise. As for the sneaking mechanics, I have one word: SUPERFLUOUS! I mean, that barrel scene was one the most stupid things I've ever seen in a game... I won't even talk about the vomiting part. Also, while I'm sure there are numerous ways to tackle each of this levels situations and enemies, it seems that everything from the use of the statue camo to the barrel are the "real" (read: intended) ways to go through the level, as presented by Kojima himself. Thus, I can imagine this game becoming very linear and, as I said earlier, methodical and tedious. However, the key word I'm using here is *imagine*, as the game could end up being really great.

Looks pretty amazing, but having to go into menu do everything will get irritating.

& I honestly don't have patience to scan the area for enemies, and open those menu's every 10 seconds.

But visual are stunning.

It looks great... but there seems to be a level of complexity underlying everything you do in this game that would seem to make it more annoying than seems necessary. I mean... the statue camouflage, Judo chokeholds... its like Photoshop: The Game. Will I need to download a full keyboard for my PS3? Oh wait, I don't have a PS3...

You know, you guys are right. I'm only going to play games based entirely in reality from now on like, Super Mario Galaxy,BioShock, and World of Warcraft. Once a MGS hater, always a MGS hater.

What is wrong with you people?!?! This looks amazing. If you want realism, join the Army. I like cheesy Rambo type action. Call me crazy...

Kinda unrealistic with that chameleon camo actually fooling enemies...

The camera is fixed, but it still looks like it has the same horrible stealth mechanics as before. Who wouldn't notice a human shaped lump on the floor, or a human shaped bulge in the wall? Unless he also has a gas that stupefies enemies I stand here, stupefied, looking at another game in an overrated series by an overrated game developer. It has some cool ideas, but it tries to be realistic while the AI is terrible.
