It's about time we had some good Grand Theft Auto IV news. While recently showing Manhunt 2, Rockstar got drilled on GTA4. GamerNode is reporting that Rockstar is "aiming" for GTA4 to have up to 16 mulitplayer on both the 360 and the PS3.
Just thinking about all the different types of multiplayer matches that could take place in the world of GTA4 excites me. Co-op would be perfect though. Pulling off robberies and car chases with your friends in the totally open city would be fantastic. Crackdown did a good job with multiplayer, but it's time to let the true open-world professionals have a go.
This would be a huge step for the franchise, it's hard to imagine any game not shipping with out some kind of multiplayer moded. Even the best games can't escape ridicule for leaving it out.

it really makes me depressed when the keep pushing games back.I've bin looking foward to gtaIv for a long time now...
No matter how long it takes, I will wait. No one does it like Rockstar. Games like Metal Gear and Smash Brothers can say what they will, but we all know the one game were dying to own!
I'll be looking foward to dusting off my AK
