CoD4 Tips a la Zombies: Episode 1

 Weapons and Perks

-M16 with stopping power is the most well rounded combination you can get. Period. A 3 shot burst, if every round hits, will take down anyone without juggernaut.

-An M40 (scout) with stopping power has the same effect. 1 shot kills. Snipers are getting buffed next patch as well. Less breathing motion. From what I heard it's such a large reduction in movement you don't even have to hold your breath to snipe effectively. Get comfortable with them now and you'll be even better next patch.

-An MP5 with stopping power and steady aim allows you run and gun. You can take people down without looking down your sights. Allowing you to do the back and forth dance to make yourself harder to hit. Also reduces the time from sprinting to aiming to shooting which helps tremendously if you like to move around a lot.

-A lot of people use the Desert Eagle religiously. To each his own, but it should be known that the Colt 45. (starting pistol) does only 3 less damage per shot and has a much larger clip. (courteousy of my friend at Activision).

-Use your special grenades! Flash or stun. I can't stress this enough. It is truly the difference between clearing a room and yourself as red mist.

-People rely on their UAV's. I try to keep a kit with UAV jammer and Silenced weapons for some stealth action when it's needed.

             Map Tips

Shipment: It's easy to top 100 kills per game on this map by utilizing your air strikes correctly. Getting an air strike can sometimes be difficult though. You can get lucky with short range weapons and grenades but I've found that simply going prone helps tremendously. This works especially well on headquarters or domination where people are focused on the objectives instead of you. Lay down facing a choke point and keep still. Most people mistake you for dead and run past you. If they run in front take em out.

Once you've got your air strike available, stop killing. Stand your ass up and take a death.

Re spawn, bunker down and hit em with your strike. Most of the time you'll have another air strike waiting. Rinse and repeat.

Ambush:
The building with the flaming red barrel out front. One way in, two ways out. Defendable at two points with claymores. This is an excellent spot to hold. Also, take a few moments in a private match to learn how to scale the cars and air conditioner/fence to get onto the sniper nests (one has a wall of sandbags, the other has a large holding tank) across the street from each other in the middle.

Another thing worth noting on the aforementioned opposing sniper nests is a nice place to put a claymore on the northern nest (sandbag).

Make your way to the bottom stairway leading up to the roof. Directly to your left is a crevasse due to the fact that the buildings aren't squared. You can back into this corner and plant a claymore. This works most of the time.

If you'd like to further embarrass your enemy plant a claymore about eye level on the stairs facing outwards. It's very hard to miss, which is good. They will probably shoot it from a safe distance then confidently walk directly in front of your more cleverly hidden explosives.

Vacant: When I start in the office there's something that garuntees me a few kills at the beginning of each map. Head to the warehouse, And if you look out of the large window (not the doorway) a few feet in front of you is a pallet with barrels on it.

Crouch behind the barrels and look through the small space in between them. This provides you 90% cover and a large field of vision. From here you can pick off anyone entering the warehouse. You can also stand and look further down field to the opposing teams spawn. If someone gets past you and throws a grenade in just move the other side of the barrels and allow them to take the blow.

Just watch the door leading from the hallway to your left.

Whenever I prestige, the first thing I do is get at least a red dot sight with all my weapons to re-familiarize myself with everything. I'm guilty of using the m16 as a crutch though. Because you really can't go wrong with using the m16 consistently.
Chances are, if you pick a weapon up off the ground you've got yourself an m16 with red dot.
But it's definitely not a bad idea to shoot every gun.

I have to agree with you on your weapons and perks. My personal favorite for run and gun is M249 with grip, stopping power, and steady aim. works great inclose range situations and even has some range, but takes a while to reload.
also I like to get familiar with a few weapons very well, but try and master all the weapons, that way if you run out of ammo and pick something up you have a chance.

I have to agree with you about the M16. I cant tell you how many people i see use it becuase of how effective it is.
