- Cosplay Poll?
- Posted About 1 year ago by LionHeadTM
Alright. So... i can't really see myself cosplaying, but I was given an option with my friend Erin when were at the Expo. Honest to god, if I did cosplay, who would I go as? If anything, i don't know if I should or not because of these reasons...
A.) I think that if you create costumes that are TOO elaborate, then they probably have absolutely no life. *shrugs* but, if i started now, then I might have something super fancy in the future.
B.) I can't stand it when you don't know who the costume is of. That's major points off, but like... if the costume is really fancy and well made, then you might get added points. But really... it's all about who you know and who you don't...
C.) I don't exactly have the build for really sexy characters. Like, It would be amazing if I was a character from Dead or Alive or... someone incredibly sexy. hahah. OOH... morrigan or lilith would be oooh so wonderful... Could you imagine me as a Felicia? What about Ivy from Soul Calibur? wooow.
Mm... I don't know. i'm really 40/60 about it. the more i think about it, the more it seems like i should try it. But at the same time, i remind myself that I might not want to because i'd look like an idiot. I mean, i'm 20 years old... going to be 21 next year. I dunno... I sound insecure don't I?
Anyway, if you think I should cosplay, vote my blog. positive for yes, negative for no. In maybe a few days/weeks/months, i'll check and see if I should or not. I'm depending on YOU!!! *feels like an uncle sam poster*
oh. and ps? if you have an idea for me, let me know.

I say that if/when we go to VGXPO again next year, if you want to cosplay, I will cosplay too so you don't feel retarded, lol. Between me and Barb, we could help you put together a decent costume. Barb helped me put my Aya Brea costume(the one of me with the blonde wig in my profile) together in 2 days! The only hitch was the wig because, try as she might, my sister could not get it to look like Aya's hair when she cut it.
Come up with a few character ideas and we'll brainstorm.
oh! you could always do the broken nose ;]
i think when it comes to cosplay you have to go all out. no half-assing.
i say do it!
Lynn, can we just make that never wear cat ears?
Sure, it's kinda cute, but so over done. Let's start a new social meme, alligator hats!
Never wear cat ears in a GameStop.
Halloween or not.
how about the girl from Heavenly Sword...lots of hair extensions.....
Please, I'm 24 and I still dress up for Halloween every year, not to mention dressing like a Hogwarts chick gone bad at the last Harry Potter book launch. Playing dress-up is a lot of fun once in awhile, and you're definitely not too old to do it.
Like Sean said, at the ripe age of 31, I feel like dressing up on any other day than Halloween would give me the "creepy old guy" label. Fortunately, I have no desire to do so. For you, being 20, you should give it a whirl.
Go for it, just throw something together..its a fun thing. Ebay is also a dream. I managed to throw an Aeris coustume together with like 25$ once :)
Either Lucy as Vigo said, or Ivy. Ivy would rock...
I never have, and I feel like at the age of 31, I'm probably walking a fine line between playful adult and creepy oldhead. I'd like to think that someday, if I get around to makin' a youngin', maybe we could do a family cos-play thing so that it wouldn't be so... I don't know... creepy?
Go for it.
Well let's see, as far as your profile shows, you're a hot chick, so YES!
Dress as Lucy: The Daughter of the Devil
I'd do it. I did my first cosplay this Summer for Otakon. I showed my age and cosplayed as Rick Hunter from Robotech. The jumpsuit was pretty easy, spray painting the helmet was a labor of love. In the end though, it's a lot of fun. I don't plan on doing it often as it costs a bunch. But the process is definitely fun and you should try it at least once.
