- Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock isn't so legendary
- Posted 9 months, 3 weeks ago by LionHeadTM
Ok, so I finally get my hands on a wii and I also got GH3 for it. I don't know why everyone is complaining that the wii version just isn't as good. Psh. they lie. It's actually better if you ask me. You hear the mess up noises from the controller that's locked inside you guitar and it rumbles when you are using your star power. I guess the only downside is because the graphics aren't as smooth or as pretty to look at that the xbox or ps3 versions. However, it's not as bad as you think.
So, I am playing and I get my hands on all the songs... however... I was wishing I seen a little more legendary and more less underground. I guess it may pay off for the underground songs only because it'll get more traffic to their cds and shows.
I have played this game before with my friend luke. I knew what songs that were on it already, however he has the xbox version that has halo. (damn, do I want that halo song... I want to learn that especially on expert and MELT FACES!) But sadly, i didn't. Anyway, I was wishing that there more legendary songs instead of songs that not many people really heard of by a band that is famous. You know? Like Black Majic Woman. Incredible soulful song by Santana, I can understand how they threw that in because of the keystrokes... But... Its not really a five star song in popularity. Maybe it's just the wii version, but I wouldve like to see something instead of the killers (not exactly guns and roses level) but maybe more of Journey or something. Hahah. I know I know... Journey isn't exactly what you call hard 80's, 90's rock but put some more songs that are LEGENDARY... Like smoke on water or something... *shrugs*
Maybe it's just me.

don't know. don't care. rock band. 'nuff said.
"cherub rock" and "the metal" are the two songs i play to feel godly
Yeah, even though there's more master tracks, I prefer GH2's selection. I just wish there were more bonus songs like Thunderhorse and Trogdor, instead of this garbage they throw in to make that dollar bill.
Black Magic Woman is actually one of Santana's most popular songs. That is before that horrible Supernatural album came out. It made him a lot of cash, but it made me ill.
I agree with you, some of the GHIII songs are so "meh". Like, how are you gonna have a classic like "Paint it Black" next to some crappy, pretentious indie "rock"? I don't dig it.
