Gamer Details
Bio: I played video games so much as a young man, it gave me this half-closed eye when I sing acoustic rock songs.
Now, I can't wrap my head around all these new-fangled systems. Give me the 8-bit dynasty of NES. It helps me connect with my inner child.
Oh, and PSOne for some Medal of Honor.

whether it be old schoolers like The Pogues, the Dubliners, the Young Dubliners, or newer jacks like Dropkick Murphys, Flatfoot 56, or The Tossers, I'm up for the downstrokes of the musics of rebellion, Irish music and Punk Rock, being melded together. Erin Go Oi!

For years I've made things up as I go along, mostly to make it sound like I knew what I was doing. Musically, theatrically, interpersonally, ain't nothin' like a little ad-libbing, especially when you don't know what's going on.
Thank God you're here.

Cooking it, eating it, looking at pictures of it... gimme food.

When NES ruled the world in the 80s, I thought everyone would be video gamers one day. Then I fell out of favor with video games, by and large. Now, in the 21st Century, everyone IS a gamer, and I'm the Luddite on the outside.
Just give me an NES emulator and I'm happy!

country hill blues, amplified Chicago blues, Delta blues, Texas blues, messed-up garage rock hypno blues, I dig it all. Robert Johnson to The Black Keys and all the 12-bar murder ballads and jump blues in between!

the guy that made me believe I could be a writer, even as a restless soul, trapped in a public transit world.
-
Helped me get through one of the loneliest periods of my life. Also, I would have never wanted to be this miserable S.O.B.!
-
transmitted the fire for bass desires into my ears, hands and soul.

Mix and melt everything you've ever thought while asleep, and Dali probably already painted.*Ring, ring* Hey, the Lobster Phone's for you!

heard this band by accident via The Reverend Horton Heat, and I'm convinced: Col. J.D. Wilks' is right, "there ain't no shame in the naked truth".
Get washed in the Swampblood.

Though he's dead now, this guy was the blues, for real. The closest you can get, aside from listening to his albums, is seeing Samuel L. Jackson's performance in Black Snake Moan, which even Sam admits is him "basically trying to be R.L. Burnside."

I've got all this band's albums, and I've been with them with each mutation. Seriously kick ass rock and roll. I can't honestly count how many times I've seen this band live, as I see them every time they play Philadelphia, and they tour, ALOT. Check em out: www.pro-rock.com

doom rock, completely slowed-down, thickly-brewed and oftentimes, experimentally insane. I've seen this band play live only slightly fewer times than I've seen Clutch play live. It takes big nuts to envelop an entire band into your band's lineup (Big Business) especially when you already have a powerhouse drummer in Dale Crover.
Doom rock and roll, for serious.

I actually rarely put in Sieg Howdy! but I've still got it. I went to see them when they did their tour in 05 I think. Melvins played a whole set then Jello came out and played an entire set filled with their originals, DK songs and a cover of Wesley Willis's Rock and Roll McDonalds.
Now knowing that majority of your record collection is from Ipecac, I assume you enjoy the works of the Melvins. With that being said, did you listen to the 2 cds Jello Biafra & The Melvins put out a couple years ago?
Jadico was also on the fence about it (although he was much more on your side of the fence than on the game's side) But then he came over on Saturday night and tried his hand at it. He's now no more in love with it for the "younger" set, but loved playing it himself.
Welcome aboard mine friend! Old school, eh? You should check out the group called Arcade Classics- there's a link to it on my page. Word.
