What If?
Posted 1 week, 0 days ago by MeLLoWDaDDee

So I had this crazy idea today that got me thinking, what if you were stranded on a deserted island and could only bring a console and three games, what would they be? Would you bring an NES along with a copy of Super Mario Brothers? How about a Nintendo 64 and Starfox. Or would you opt for the PS2 and a copy of GTA3, then you could actually accomplish every little choir in the game? But what about a next-gen console, or would you go portable?

Lets just say this: you have crashed on a deserted island that has a never ending supply of power for your gaming rig. What would be your console of choice, and three games you would bring along. Think carefully because these three titles would have to last along time. Leave your answers in the comment section of this article. Arcade games are ok to choose but please no made up futuristic systems or emulator refrences please. This is not a contest by any means, but could be made into one sometime in the future.

My choices would have to be the Xbox 360, a copy of Gears of War, GTA IV, and Bioshock. Epic always makes great games and I would opt for the second installment over the first but if I got stranded today I guess I would take what I could get. GTA IV, I really don't have to explain this one. Bioshock, what can I say it just grew on me. The whole deep dark artsy feel in the game left quite an impression on me. Me and a Big Daddy would run around holding hands as we saved all the Little Sisters before I lost concisenesses every night.

Don't be shy list your survival pack of games because you never know when someone will send you a package....PeAcE....

also... I would be able to let the simulator run while foraging for food and maintaining shelter... oh the possibilities!

Assuming that you wouldn't be able to play multiplayer or online because your stuck alone on an island, I would probably want to bring my PC anyway, with games like The Sims and Free Enterprise. I would want to fondly remember that human interaction I once had... But mainly I would make people i used to know and try to get them to have babies with each other (like the future it could have been.)

Is that unhealthy?

Is my PC a console? Cause if it is AND we have the internet I'd bring Starcraft(does the expansion count as a 2nd game?), WoW, and Unreal Tournament 2004.

My XBox360 - Mass Effect, N+ & Sonic the Hedgehog. Mass Effect for the many things you can do. N+ for being a ninja doing different things. Sonic for classic gaming that never gets boring.

If I added Internet into the factor you could download arcade games and get DLC all day long.....you have to draw the line somewhere I guess, especially when it comes to the bare essentials.

Wow My wife asked me this EXACT same question a few days ago.

My answers: Xbox 360 - Grand Theft Auto IV (best game ever), Mass Effect (nearly infinite replayability)and NHL 2008 (best sports title out there)

Ask me again in 6 months and it may be totally different. Except GTA. That one's a permanent fixture.

If there's no internet, that's really tough. My Wii, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, and Karous (Japanese Shmup, which was ported from the Dreamcast not too long ago that I just happen to be addicted to). The 360 has an awesome library, but It's almost not worth having one if you don't have XBL...unless there's internet access on the island.
