Well, there are some of us who are going to turn our nose's in the air when it comes down to parting with sixty-bucks, of our hard earned money when Treyarch's Call of Duty: World at War hits the shelves soon. But, then again, there are also some of us who already ran out to shove money by the fist-full in Gamestop's pockets by way of preorder. Personally, like most gamers, I'm still on the fence about picking up a copy. The fact that sixty-bucks goes along way in these times, and the fact that Treyarch didn't deliver in Call of Duty 3, has left some of us pacing the floor at night, perplexed on what exactly to do. Do we put out the cash, and hope for the best, or play it safe and rent, rent, rent. Like I said before I'm totally confused on what to do.
Well if most of you are like me: puzzled by what to do, you can try your luck at getting into the multiplayer beta for World at War. If you feel lucky, Gamepro magazine is holding a contest, and if you're one of the fortunate winners you'll be rewarded with a free pass into the beta. The contest site isn't live just yet but keep this link handy, because playing the beta just might ease your mind on making the purchase on D-Day. The only other way to finagle your way into the beta is by preordering the game and praying you're selected. so good luck. I'll see you on the battlefield.

I'll still give it a rent, but I doubt it's one of those "must-have" games.....
I'm with Mikey and Voyou... I feel like the COD series was reached near-perfection with 4, and I don't like the idea of Treyarch getting it back.
I'll let it hit shelves, try the demo, and read up before I commit to Treyarch.
Not to mention, I had about enough of WWII games, and COD4 was a perfectly executed overhaul to the series. I am, however, curious about using that damn flamethrower.
Can't say I am that interested in the game. I never even liked the Call of Duty series until 4, so I can't see Treyarch taking back the game and taking it back to an older setting being a good thing. If I want a shooter in an older setting, I will get Brothers in Arms.
