It is Monday again and that means it is time to celebrate another video game mustache. This week’s push broom belongs to Mike Haggar.

Mike Haggar is best known for his role in Final Fight. As a master of wrestling and physical fitness, Haggar was clearly the best candidate for Mayor of Metro City. His political career was plagued with controversy. While campaigning for his first stint as Mayor, rumors regarding drug use and womanizing swirled. Despite the media frenzy, Haggar stuck to the pressing issues and proceeded to win the election with a landside victory. While in office, Haggar promised to clean up the streets of Metro City. The Mad Gear Gang was pretty much destroying the city and when they kidnapped Mayor Haggar’s daughter Jessica, it was time for action. Despite the fact that his adversaries had guns, Haggar marched into battle shirtless. Armed only with 24” pythons and an occasional steel pipe, Haggar piledrived his way through enemies on his way to face Belger. (the Mad Gear Gang’s Leader) After defeating Belger, Haggar returned to city hall. He was greeted with protesters and picketers. It seems that an elected official should not be shirtless, swinging pipes and murdering people. Surprised by the lack of appreciation, Haggar stepped down and out of politics all together. It has been rumored that Haggar is now living in Detroit, spending his days as Pontiac salesman counting down to retirement.
