Halo 3
Posted 11 months, 4 weeks ago by OfficerGex
I thought I'd put my $0.05 in on this one (I refuse to break the nickle). I've played through the campaign, which was fun on Legendary. I've played the Multiplayer, so has anyone who has played Halo 2 Multiplayer. The graphics are shinier. The weapons are tweaked. You can play 2nd player as the Arbiter(a multiplayer tweak). There are more pickups. There are more vehicles. The story and Online glitches are all the same, with a few new glitches. The only true difference is that you can play the campaign with people online, and the skulls. The gaming community, I think, feels the same. If you look at my friends list at any time, NOBODY is playing this game. This is the complete opposite from the first 2 weeks the game came out. Bungie, where have all the cowboys gone?

I personally think that bungie is one of the worst developers out there. They're just lazy. There's no originality in the weapon design, we have a main character who took no real thought to come up with (guy in green armor who dosen't speak so he dosen't need personality) and how many freakin times can we run through the same forerunnner structure or forrest or snow field? Don't even get me started on the last level either. They counldn't even come up with a new idea to end the "biggest videogame trilogy ever". Bungie has failed, and I will never buy another game from them ever.

I'm right there with you, Joe. I enjoyed the original Halo & I have no interest in Halo 2 after playing it on my PC. Halo 3 wouldn't even fly a kite on a windy day even if I had a 360.

I don't really agree with all of that. The game is in a dull phase because people are busy playing the $400 worth of games to come out in the last few weeks. When Mass Effect is done, COD4 is beaten, and there are no more people to assassinate, they will be back.

As an original Halo fan, all I can say is "phooey". Halo 2 was a disappointment, and so was Halo 3.

Yeah... for a long time, I had been a Halo 3 apologist...

but... it must be said

sub-par game, sub-par effort, and no real excuse for it...
