- What good games are there on an Apple MacBook?
- Posted 7 months, 2 weeks ago by PimpToast
I'm going to be going to the Science Leadership Academy (SLA) for highschool and I know for a fact that they give every student a laptop every year there. So while I have this Apple MacBook that is given to me , I would like to play some good games on it. So if anyone can tell me what recent games are on the Mac so I can go and pick them up. I already have WoW, and ill pick up COD4 in May for Mac, but what other recent games are out there? I havent really heard much. Please give some suggestions, and if there is a game controller I could buy please inform me of that also. I think it would come in handy for any shooters I would buy.
Thanks to anyone who comments:)
Oh... and if anyone could tell me where I could buy these games and/or controller.

Emulators are the key to getting those old school throwback titles.
If you happen to own a copy of Windows XP with SP2 or Vista, than you can use Bootcamp and install Windows onto a created partition, split off from your HD. It's not like Parallels or Crossover, it's actually running Windows. Therefore, you can run ANY games on it.
I have a Mac Pro 8 x 2.8ghz, and have installed Windows onto a separate partition JUST for games. I'm running Unreal Tournament 3, Crysis, and all of my Steam games at native and full speeds.
It's the best of both worlds. I can use Mac OS for all of my design work with the Adobe and Corel Suites, web browsing, and chatting, and then, hop over to Windows to play some Counter-Strike Source or Dawn of War.
Best of all, if Windows starts to get all loopy on you, which is a definite possibility, you can just quickly erase the partition and reinstall it.
X-box controllers work usb style.
I play KOTOR on my macbook like it's my job.
Also feel free to anticipate PAA:OTR-SPOD dropping later this season!
