- Gamervision Unboxes the GTA IV Special Edition

There’s no use trying to pretend that today is just an ordinary, run-of-the-mill day, because it’s clearly not. Across the country, people are calling out of work left and right, ignoring their daily responsibilities, and forgetting that the outside world exists entirely. Here at Gamervision HQ, we’ve been gathered around the TV since first thing this morning, passing the controller around so that everyone could get a little time with Grand Theft Auto IV. Finally, FINALLY, it is here.
For most of the Gamervision staff, getting the regular edition of the game was more than sufficient. However, for a couple (myself included), the $89.99 Special Edition was clearly the way to go. I’m sure some gamers probably think that 30 extra bucks for GTA IV is kind of excessive, but hey, I really, really love Grand Theft Auto.
As we opened up one of the Special Edition sets, I snapped a few pictures to share with the rest of you as we celebrate this, the most wonderful day of the year to be a gamer. Enjoy! I got the special edition. And its awesome. but was the lockbox supposed to come with a key? Mine didn't have one.
i LOVE the soundtrack. the mos def and rapture songs are my favorite
This is actually the first GTA title that I'm buying. I didn't preorder it because I knew it'd be anywhere and everywhere. Even Blockbuster's got it in stock. That says something (other than a drowning company trying to make good) to the gaming community in some way, right?
Anyway. I have around 7 duffel bags and don't need another one. I'd love to pick up the art book and the safety deposit box, though. So I might actually be spending the extra money just for that... with the bonus of yet another duffel bag!

I didn't think I wanted the Special Edition until I saw Mike's. Now I must have it.
I know but I'm too distracted with the excitement and all the news. Finding it hard to focus :)
Wow, that takes a lot of patience to order a game like GTA IV online. Get that project out of the way so you can spend the rest of the day playing.

I also got the special edition because I think it is a game that is totally worth it. Yeah it's just extra junk but this game feels historic. I'm still waiting for the UPS guy to drop mine off. I'm supposed to get it before three. I'm counting the seconds. Not only that but I'm supposed to be working on a final project for school but it is just not as exciting as GTA!
