What Are You Playing This Week?
Posted 5 months ago by Sarah

This might be one of the more boring weeks for me in recent history, since I don’t have any new games coming out in the next few days. In fact, the last game I picked up was Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2 for the PSP, and I think my next game to buy will be Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution, which comes out next month. Still, no week for me is completely without games, so here we go.

As previously mentioned, I’ve been playing Hot Shots on the PSP, which I totally love. It can be frustrating sometimes once you unlock the more difficult courses, but I keep going back and playing more. I have barely put down my PSP since this game came out, actually, and keep looking for reasons to sneak a game in during lunch breaks or while watching TV.

As always, I do my daily Wii Fit workouts, exercising for 35 minutes each day, usually right after I get home from work. I don’t have anything else left to unlock, but since I usually stick with the same routine it doesn’t really matter. Three strength exercises, some stepping, rhythm boxing, and a ten-minute run make up a chunk of my usual gaming regime.

I’ve been craving some RPG action as well, so I think it might be time for me to finally crack open Persona 3 FES. I’ve wanted to play it since it came out, but it had the misfortune of being released right before Mario Kart Wii and Grand Theft Auto IV, so it wasn’t the best time to start a 100-plus hour game. Now that I’ve got a nice window between new releases, though, it might be a good time to visit Tartarus again.

Like I said, not a heavy week for me, but between Wii Fit, Hot Shots Golf, and Persona 3, I’ll barely have any time left over to roll a few dice. That’s right—it looks like I’m going to be learning my first tabletop RPG this week. I actually thought I couldn’t get any nerdier, but obviously I was wrong! We’ll see how that goes.

Been playing a bit of Final Fantasy VII and Drake's Fortune. Picked up Secret Agent Clank and haven't had enough time to beat the first mission yet.

I was playing Halo with steak today, getting him all the skulls in campaign, and then playing some infected multiplayer. On top of that, Metal Slug on my PSP, and the delectable morsel that is Ikaruga.

Forgive me father, for I have sinned. It has been two weeks since I picked up a controller. May flying spaghetti monster have mercy on my neglected thumbs.

That reminds me, Steak, I've been meaning to get back to Halo 3. For the last nine months. Jeez, has it been that long already?

i'm currently obsessed with loco roco on my PSP, and i'm still trying to finish up on the rain-slick precipice of darkness but i'm finding that harder to go back to for some reason.
