- Big Fable II News Delayed
- Posted About 1 month ago by Sarah

Remember last week, when those teases over at Lionhead promised that a big Fable II-related announcement was coming soon? Well, apparently, that big announcement has been delayed. Oh noes! Yeah, I know you were all sitting on the edges of your seats waiting for whatever crazy declaration was coming next (would it be a new area of the world? A new type of STD? Dog armor?!??!), but according to the Lionhead blog, that news will have to wait:
For those of you who are waiting for the "big one" - stay tuned, Microsoft assures me that we can announce it on Monday 24th. If not, I will fly over there and slam my fist on a desk. Like, really hard!
Whoa! Desk-slamming?! This is really serious stuff! Don’t panic, guys. There is a silver lining to all of this:
However, there is some G o o d [Good] news. To celebrate the launch of the New Xbox Experience, we've created an all-new Fable II theme for your dashboard. Go show your Fable pride!
Yes! To think, here I was not at all excited for the New Xbox Experience, and now I can’t wait to go home and download that new theme. Actually, since it doesn’t state whether or not the theme is free, I’m guessing you have to pay for it, which I certainly will not be doing. I will, however, continue to enjoy Fable II while I block out all of this drunken madness. Stay tuned for an actual announcement (maybe!) next week.

Oh man... I seriously laughed out loud as soon as I read the title. This is why you shouldn't announce news - or anything, for that matter - until you're sure you're going to deliver.
Maybe someone should make a game and call it Delayed, that way we could all sit there and say, "oh did you hear Delay got delayed again?" I know, it sounded funny when I first started writing, but it wasn't so funny by the time I reached the end of the sentence....
i do not think we have seen the last delay from these guys
The theme is absolutely not free. In fact, I see Microsoft phasing out "free" from a lot of their Xbox Experiences.
