Doom 4 Now in Production
Posted 4 months ago by Sarah

Awesome news! Id Software announced today that they have begun work on Doom 4, the next game in the long-running (and consistently great) first-person shooter series. While no details were given yet on story, expected release date, or anything else, Id has also stated that they are hiring for this game.

The Doom series is one that’s very near and dear to my heart, as Doom II was one of the first FPS games I ever played, and one that I was completely obsessed with throughout the later years of elementary school. Though I’m sure this game is years away, I can’t wait to get more information about what a next-gen entry in the series is going to be like. It goes without saying, but we will be covering this one as more details come to light, so stay tuned. In the meantime, I’m feeling a bit nostalgic, so I may just have to go and give the Xbox Live Arcade version a try.

Oh boy. Good timing. I JUST got a new pc. I can't wait to upgrade again.
For the record, I've always been a Quake-man.

I hope it goes back to its roots. Doom 3 was a big meh to me personally, the whole "let's be scary and all" thing didn't work that well for me. Graphically it was amazing but the game play was kind of boring, no huge armies of monsters, just 1 or 2 monsters here and there.
