Making myself a Twitter has really come in handy. Aside from getting useful tips like “free coffee at Wawa tomorrow”, I can get my video game news without having to read more than 140 characters. Joining the ever-growing number of developers breaking stories on the micro-blogging social network, the entire Harmonix community hinted at a forthcoming announcement today. Both HarmonixSean and HMXCasey strongly recommended signing up for the Rock Band newsletter over at the Rock Band 2 website. Why? Because something big may or may not be happening!

Of course, we have no idea what this announcement will actually be, which means it’s time to speculate. Will it be another band-themed expansion pack? Rock Band on the DS? Rock Band RPG? I can’t take the anticipation! Seriously, Harmonix, just tell me. We’ve gone ahead and signed up for the Rock Band newsletter, so we’ll let you know when that actually pays off. In the meantime, feel free to make all kinds of wild guesses. Hey, you never know.
