Currently, I am trying to make my way through all four discs of epic Japanese RPG Lost Odyssey for the Xbox 360. It’s no easy task, with the game being at least 50 hours long. Maybe it would be a little easier if I had a Killer Machine Ring, a super powerful piece of equipment that makes the game a whole lot easier. Too bad it’s only available in Japan… but maybe not for long!

The Killer Machine Ring, obtainable for 200 Microsoft Points, is only part of the Lost Odyssey downloadable content currently available in Japan (and, presumably, on its way to the western hemisphere). They also have the Masters Secret Script and Weapon Guard II, both of which were given out in the U.S. as a preorder bonus for the game. The only question that remains is: do you really want to pay to make the game that much easier? Personally, I think the challenge is part of the fun. Of course, my opinion might differ after I’ve just encountered my fiftieth random battle in a row without finding a save point.
