New Persona 4 Info
Posted 9 months, 3 weeks ago by Sarah

It hasn’t even been a year since Persona 3 was released in the U.S., but the next installment in the bizarre and incredible RPG series is already well underway. Japanese magazine Famitsu has released some new information about the game, along with some nice visuals.

Some promising details about Persona 4, followed by magazine scans:

•    One and a half times the size of Persona 3
•    85% complete
•    Over 180 Personas
•    Takes place in the countryside instead of the city
•    Multiple endings
•    Mystery/suspense theme
•    Murder mystery storyline
•    60-70 hours at the minimum
•    Weather forecast system will be implemented to predict when murders will occur

I don’t read Japanese, but I’m pretty sure all that writing translates to “This is going to be one of the best games ever made.” It’s worth noting that although about 60 hours of gameplay are promised, the same was said of Persona 3, but my final time for that game clocked in somewhere around 105 hours. If this game is as jam-packed with side quests and optional storylines as Persona 3 (and I can’t imagine it won’t be), then once again I will be ignoring my next-gen systems for a few months to play this on my PS2.

Persona 4 is apparently slotted for a July release in Japan, which is awesome and surprising news to me. The sooner it gets here, the better. I know it might be awhile before the game gets a U.S. release date, but in the meantime, I’ll be perfectly content to play Persona 3 FES and relive my favorite game of 2007.

I haven't even got my Persona 3 FES yet and this is already coming out. At least it'll be some time till it gets to us.

I would jump in on Persona 3 personally, especially with FES coming out in April for only 30 bucks. That one was definitely the best in the series... so far.

I still haven't played any of the games in the series, but I kind of like the sounds of this. Should I go back and play the others? Or just jump in here.
