- Nintendo Channel Hitting Wii Next Month With WiiWare
- Posted 6 months, 4 weeks ago by Sarah
After much waiting, Nintendo’s new WiiWare service will be hitting American Wii systems next month, and it won’t be alone. When WiiWare launches on May 12, it will be accompanied by the shiny new (and creatively-named) Nintendo Channel, which will allow users to download portable demos to their DS systems (at least until the system is turned off).
The Nintendo Channel will also offer lists of upcoming Nintendo titles, so you know when to pick up Mario’s Crazytime Badminton Shenanigans, as well as user reviews of WiiWare games that will be available to the general Nintendo-Channel-having public. This actually might be pretty useful, since there will be no downloadable demos for any WiiWare games.
Again, look for these new services on May 12. Personally, I’m hoping that WiiWare and this new Nintendo Channel turn out to be pretty cool, since my little white console is getting such a bad rep these days. Only time will tell, however, so stick with Gamervision and we’ll fill you in on any more details as they are announced.

Sounds pretty sweet. Now I wish I had bought a DS instead of opting to save my money for a PSP this June when the GOW edition comes out. Decisions, decisions, I just can't make up my mind.
