- No More Heroes Does Well in America and Europe
- Posted 9 months, 1 weeks ago by Sarah
I really had no idea what to make of No More Heroes originally, and I’m not sure that anyone else did, either. Some of us here at Gamervision gave it a shot, and as it turns out, it’s a great game. Since there are, sadly, so few quality third-party Wii games, it makes me happy to find something worth playing on the system. Luckily, I’m not the only one to think so.
Marvelous Interactive has announced that No More Heroes has already sold over 100,000 copies in the U.S., with 100,000 more being shipped. Even better? Although it hasn’t even come out in Europe yet, they’re expecting to sell 160,000 copies at launch. Yes, it’s not Halo 3’s 9.8 bazillion games sold in twenty minutes, but this little game that could is well on its way to being a surprise hit.
Now for the bad news: in Japan, which is the home country of everyone involved with the making of the game, they’ve only shipped 40,000 copies since launch. Those numbers are not so pretty. However, it’s nice that some countries have come to appreciate this campy, bloody, really fun game.

that's so true. then again, this game seems more like a japanese developer gearing it towards an american audience
it's a start, better than japan's 40,000.
the sales, 100k in the US that is.. considering the number of Wiis sold in the US
i wouldn't say that is well. i'd say it's okay or borderline bad
