- Persona 4 Gets New Trailer and Release Date

There’s a new trailer floating around the internets for Atlus’s upcoming Persona 4, and thankfully it’s not fifteen minutes long. It doesn’t really reveal a lot of information that we didn’t already know, but if you had a hard time sitting through the previous trailers, this one will be much easier to digest. Atlus may make some great games, but they sure don’t know a lot about making good trailers.
If you stuck around until the end, you probably noticed that the game now has a North American release date of December 9, 2008. That may seem like an odd time for an RPG release, but considering that Persona 4 comes out in Japan this week, it makes a bit more sense. Needless to say, I’m pretty excited, and I’ll definitely be picking this one up.
I have to admit that at the same time I’m a little nervous. Persona 3 was pretty damn close to gaming perfection for me, so I can’t imagine a sequel improving on it in any way. Still, it’s early yet, so maybe come December I’ll be saying “Persona 3 who?”
