UPDATE: Square Enix Confirms Chrono Trigger DS
Posted 4 months, 2 weeks ago by Sarah

Well, that didn’t take long! Overnight, the rumblings about Chrono Trigger DS have gone from vague rumor to more substantiated rumor to completely official. Square Enix have gone ahead and sent out a press release stating that this beloved RPG from the 16-bit era is coming to the Nintendo DS. Best of all, we don’t even have long to wait, as it’s coming this holiday season. As in 2008. As in the year we are in right now.

See, Square Enix? This is how you do a remake right. It’s not that I don’t appreciate the third (no, that’s not an exaggeration) re-release of Final Fantasy IV coming out this month, but tapping into some of your less commercialized classics is a good way to go. Check the full press release below for more details.
