Viva Pinata 2 Sort of Announced: Along With Some Pretty Screenshots; Posted 3 months, 2 weeks ago by Sarah

While Microsoft has not yet officially announced a sequel to 2006’s God-game-for-beginners Viva Pinata, solid sales and favorable reviews to the kid’s-game-that-wasn’t made a follow-up sort of implied. Now with some leaked screenshots from tomorrow’s Microsoft Gamers’ Day 2008 (courtesy of Kotaku) that feature the little paper critters, it seems apparent that there’s a good chance we’re going to be hearing more about Viva Pinata 2 sooner rather than later.

Personally, I’m pretty happy about this. I thought Viva Pinata was one of the most unique and addictive games available on the 360, even if it was often misunderstood (Is it Harvest Moon with more animals? If this is a kid’s game, why are you beating these creatures with a shovel until they explode?). We’ll let you know when and if we hear more, but in the meantime, here are some pretty screenshots that are most likely from Viva Pinata 2.
