- Sony Comments on LittleBigPlanet PSP Rumor
- Posted About 1 month ago by Sean

It's been nearly four days since anyone has said anything about the rumored PSP port of Media Molecule's controversy magnet, LittleBigPlanet. The last we heard, Quartermann over at EGM was all but convinced that it was going to happen. The latest is coming from MTV's Multiplayer blog, and writer Patrick Klepek. In a telephone interview with John Koller, Sony's head of hardware marketing, Klepek asked for a comment on the rumors.
Koller's response, "LittleBigPlanet is so expansionary. I think the developer’s really concentrating on right now making sure that the launched product is everything it could be and can be. We’re watching the UGC [user generated content] and seeing how that’s playing out. But for the future, I think certainly, we’d look at a wide variety of opportunities. Whether that’s the PSP or not, I can’t really say. We certainly look at ‘LittleBigPlanet’ franchise as a going forward franchise for us, and that speaks to the PlayStation brand overall.”
Read between the lines, and you'll see that not only should we expect a LittleBigPlanet PSP port, we can most likely look forward to sequels, various animated series, lunch boxes, t-shirts, posters, hats, shoelaces, keychains, bumper stickers, and professional sports franchises. I can see it now: The Los Angeles Sackboys NFL expansion.

despite all the issues with user created levels and unclear rules regarding what is and isn't allowed, i still love the game. what's more, i love the sackboy character and would probably buy anything they put that little floppy dude on.
