- Sonic Unleased Released

Going to Game Crazy on Monday, I had one thing on my mind: Sonic Unleashed. I wasn't too excited about the game because of the previous 3D Sonic games that has failed in various levels.

But I decided to take a chance because there was something about this game that I figure I have to like about. For example, Sonic Heroes had a cooperative game play where every character of the team had a special action for the team such as Sonic's speed, Knuckles's fighting and Tails' flying skills. Sonic The Hedgehog had beautiful 3D stages with great music while Sonic 3D Blast was, in my opinion, just a starter for Sonic which is something I have great respect for.
After a short, but funny, conversation with the store manager, I got home and immediately started playing it. First few minutes of the game was beautiful. I made sure that I didn't look at any previews or clips of the game because I wanted to be surprised by the game. And I was, indeed. The game had a great fast-paced play where the game grades you on the time you took to be the stage as well as how fast you was going. All the stages was beautifully designed while showing the precise detail of the enviroment of the world. In addition to the speedy stages, you can play as the Werehog, Sonic's alter ego, in a moonlight version of the stage.

The Werehog has increbible good combos and wild added abilities such as stretchy arms and grabs. The only downfall of the Werehog is that he's levels are somewhat difficult and he can be bit of a hassle to control in regards to wall climbing and pole hanging. But, within a short amount of time, the Werehog will become a great character to play with along with his Unleashed ability, which makes him more powerful and durable than before.
Sonic Unleashed, itself, has just two downfall that I don't mind and that is the lenghty time it takes to level up Sonic and the speed that Sonic can go within seconds on his stages. Other then that, Sonic Unleashed gets 9 homing attacks out of 10.

I liked Sonic 3D Blast. At least it still made sense that he was a hedgehog in that one :p.
Lol at "Sonic's FIRST successful #D Game". Have you ever seen the reviews or played Sonic Adventure 1 AND 2?
I think you forgot about the Sonic Adventure games on the Dreamcast and Gamecube...
I'l be missing out this one, I think. As stupis as this may sound, Sonic with a sword makes more sense than a werehog.
But Sonic should'nt be about puzzles or how many combos you can do :(
I still don't know about the whole "Were-Sonic" thing. Just doesn't agree with me. Not at all. Nice review otherwise.
