For Halloween I'd like to Introduce to you people a Badass Game Series that will soon have a Remake. It's called Splatterhouse.

Splatterhouse Remake Trailer. (Coming to PS3 and Xbox 360)
According to the June 2008 issue of EGM, the plot is as follows:
The story is a retelling of the original’s, but with some new twists. Dr West, a character mentioned in the original game, is now the teacher of Rick and Jennifer. West becomes the antagonist and sends monsters (Known as the "Corrupted") to kidnap Jennifer and fatally wound Rick, who finds the "Terror Mask" and dons it. Whereas Rick became a Jason Voorhees-inspired creature in the original title, this time he becomes something of a hulking version of himself. The plot also now involves portals that spawn the creatures appearing across the world (these elements being pulled from the 2nd and 3rd games.

So what system will this be for?
yep I am going to pick this new game up when it comes out
The Gameplay was straight foward and Easy to jump into, Also The game has a cult following. The Originals were good enough for a remake and if your a fan of the old Friday the 13th and Evil Dead films It had several references to those films.

Still can't decide how I feel about this remake yet. Were the originals good enough to warrant a remake, or did we just love them because they were some of the earlier mature games?
