Dick Marcinko is a well respect author, and a navy veteran for over 30 years. As a navy seal, he worked and reported directly to the National Command Authority (the president and the secretary of Defense) in direct combat roles. He later formed seal team Six 6 (on of the world's finest anti-terrorism spec ops teams) and Red Cell (who's main job is to infiltrate places that seem to be inpenitrable). This man knows how to fight, he's been in combat, and is one of the most highly respected special forces veterans around. Now, he's making a video game.

The book Rogue Warrior has sold thousands of copies worldwide and is a story of a navy seal team deep behind enemy lines in North Korea on a recon mission when war breaks out between the two countries. you spend the rest of the time trying to get back into South Korea. They have revealed little except for a few screenshots, and word that the multiplayer will have to ability for both teams to select part of a map that they would like, and when the two parts will be joined during the actually game making the amount of maps nearly endless. Also Bethesda (who is making this game) said they are really stretching on the realism aspects of the game, and are working closely with Dick Marcinko.

The game also allows you to switch from first person (with weapon) view, to thrid person over the shoulder view. The expansive maps are said to allow you to use many different tactics and options on how to complete certain objectives. the scheduled release date is sometime this spring although nothing has come out suggesting it will be released soon, yet no one at bethesda has said that it will be delayed. this is one game you should keep an eye out for.

I also just wanted to let you know that im reading his autobiography now "Rogue Warrior" and I have to say, this guy is a total badass. He makes even people like chuck norris and jack bauer look like a bunch of pansies. No offense chuck norris, but read his book, you'll understand.
