Grand Theft Auto IV

I would first like to start this review, by saying that this is the best game, I have ever had the honor of playing. Most games like to highlight one nice feature about their games, such as the Co-op in Army of two, the Nectar in Haze, etc. Grand Theft Auto, never really bragged about anything specific, becuase they know that almost every part of this game was done with tremendous detail and attention given to it.

One very important part to any game is how the core mechanics of the game work. For any GTA game that would be shooting and Driving. The targeting system is perfect for a GTA game becuase it has that auto aim that we've become so accustomed to, yet it also allows you to aim at different parts of a person for different effects (shoot them in the foot and watch them stumble, shoot them in the head, dead.). also Free aim allows you to target anything you see or move strategically with your weapon already raised. The cover system was designed very nicely into the game becuase you dont have to use it, but when you want to you can. I have had problems of locking onto the wrong side of cover before, but it dosen't happen to often. The driving in the game does take some time to get used to but after a while you become used to how to handle these cars. some i won't lie are like trying to manuever a block of concrete with an engine attached to it, but atleast the driving has become more... realistic then previous GTA games.

The characters and storyline in this game are something that Take Two definately put a lot of time into when making this game. Each character feels as though that is someone you would meet in real life. This game dosen't glorify these criminals but shows how most of these guys are a bunch of scumbags who would double cross you without a second thought. this game really brings the human factor into the game which really propels the story line and the choices that you make, will have an effect on the story later on. The story itself i don't want to talk about to much, becuase you need to experience it yourself ( ok I will say it reeks of awesomeness).

the visuals in this game are absolutely breathtaking. The draw distance allows you to see the looming city of Alconquin (Manhattan) as your drive across the the Broker Bridge. The triangle looks exactly like time square. I have not seen one thing in this city that looks like it could have needed more detail to it. Even landing on some random building , the roof had air conditioning units, generators, and doors leading down to the interior of the building. And that was just a random skycraper with the only way to see the roof is from a helicopter! the euphoria engine works perfectly with this game. No one part of this game I can say has let me down. the only complaint I have is minor, i just wish some of the stuff from GTA: san andreas was in here like skydiving and car customization. also, there is a lack of clothing options, but that really isn't a big deal. It would be a crime for me to not give this game a 10 out of 10.

The more I play the more I lean towards a perfect score. It definitely has all the right elements.

haha thanks. i havent beaten the storyline though im nearing the end. i don't know why people keep giving me bad ratings. maybe people think that giving a game a 10 is reserved for like some video game that jesus will create if he comes down to earth anytime soon. who knows..

Did you beat the story Suavy? Lovin GTA also, not quite a ten though more like a 9.775 if that's an actual score. Thumbs down to the people who gave you a thumbs down on your review, they should be ashamed of themselves. Being the nice guy that I am I voted for the thumbs up. Keep up the reviews Suavy, I like them......PeAcE.....

I haven't had a chance to play it online yet, but I'm having a good time with the story. It's difficult for me to give a 10/10 to a game, but this one deserves it.
