Over the last five years the MLG pro gaming circuit has grown from a local grassroots tournament into a huge spectator sport. Thousands of pro gamers, players, and spectators flock to the sold-out events in the hopes of becoming the next gaming champion. Teams like STR8-Rippin have made a name for themselves in MLG’s Pro Circuit. And now coupled with live TV coverage, gamers are boosted to an almost rock star like status.
This year the entire MLG circuit will get full broadcast coverage courtesy of a new deal with ESPN. The coverage will consist of a live television feed along with streamed matches that will be broadcast over ESPN 360. The first stop in the multi-city tour will start off outside New York City in the Meadowlands Expo center. From there the circuit will travel to San Diego, Orlando, Toronto, and then finally end up in Dallas.
This year’s Pro Circuit will feature some of the top competitive games on the market today. Games like Halo 3, Gears of War and the upcoming Tom Clancy Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 will be the focus of the tournament. Online Pro Circuits that take place throughout the season will determine what teams will take part in the actual live events. Over 4,500 teams have already registered and are currently competing for their spot at this year’s season opener.
Stops on the MLG tour:
· April 11-13 in Meadowlands, NJ
· June 13-15 in San Diego, CA
· July 11-13 in Orlando, FL
· August 22-24 in Toronto, Ontario (Canada)
· October 3-5 in Dallas, TX

That's a good one!
I was kicked out of the MLG for using performance enhancers. But I swear...somebody planted that GameGenie in my bag. Honest!
