 The name Pac-man is one that is recognized by anyone who has ever picked up a controller. Over the years we have watched the series go through many transformations. The most recent addition to the series, entitled Pac-Man Championship Edition, (developed by the creator of the original Pac-Man, Toru Iwatani) was debuted at the first-ever Xbox 360 Pac-Man World Championship held in New York City back in 2007. The Championship edition was also released onto XBL Arcade in June of the same year for the cost of 800 MSP.

 
 Now it seems that Pac-Man Championship Edition has been nominated for an award for “Best Downloadable Game” by the Game Developers Choice Awards. This category represents the best overall game on PC and console platforms that were created specifically for digital download.
