- Harmonix and Activision duke it out. We lose.

Nevermind that your Rockband guitars and drum pedals didnt even work fresh out of the box. The long awaited PS3 patch allowing Guitar Hero III controllers to work on Rockband, a feature long enjoyed by Xbox360 counterparts, has been stopped again.
Apparantly, Harmonix/MTV is at odds with Activision. Why?
According to a press release statement from Harmonix rep,
"The compatibility patch was submitted, approved, and had been scheduled for release by Sony on Tuesday, December 4. Unfortunately, Activision objected to the release of the compatibility patch. The patch remains with Sony, but we have been told that it will unfortunately not be released due to Activision's continued objection"
Activision went the other way, stating,
"In fact, Harmonix and its parent company MTV Games/Viacom are unwilling to discuss an agreement with Activision."
An agreement on what? Profit margins? What tea and crumpets to serve on Valentines? Where is Sony in all of this? I think I speak for everyone when I say,
I just want my guitar to work, man.

I just got Rock Band tonight, finally I can rock out...the game was worth the wait, and guess what? No faulty controller....
This whole feud is so anti-rock and roll...
It's all about the money, they want them to pay for the patch. Sucks to be us.
