I’ve been working on a game for about a year now. There is still a lot of work to be done, but I’d like to get some people to try it out and give me some feedback for what I have so far. Hopefully some of you Gamervisionaries would be interested!

I came up with the idea while playing Super Metroid. I’d just reached a new area, and was all proud of myself, but then I thought “how cool would it be if I was the first person ever to reach this place?” This is usually only something you see when watching speedruns, when people find routes through games even the designers didn’t know about. My game is trying to capture this. The goal of my game is to visit planets, which play somewhat like Metroid games, and reach places no other player has been before. Once the available planets are explored to a sufficient degree, a new planet becomes available, ensuring there is always somewhere new to check out.

Like the Metroid games, you will find various powerups scattered around the planets. Each can be used in combat, but can also let you reach new areas and make your travels easier.

So far I’ve been focusing on getting the gameplay right, so I only have placeholder graphics in right now, and there isn’t any sound or music. I would still like to get feedback about the gameplay at this point though. (Also please let me know if you can't get it to run.)
