- Rock Band Microphones Popping Up At Retailers

Several gamers have alerted the internet-o-sphere about seeing stand alone Rock Band Microphones for sale at various retailers in recent days. With no official release date set or the mics, it came as a bit of a surprise to many that the $50 peripherals came out well before the drum set, slated for a February 12 release, and the guitar, set to drop April 1.
What’s even more surprising, though, is that if you look real close at the top right of the package, you’ll see that the mic is compatible with the PS3, Xbox 360 and the Wii. That’s right, the Wii. Does this foretell the coming of Rock Band for Wii, or does this just mean that you can use the mic to play other microphone games on the Wii? Since there’s been absolutely no word of any plans for Wii Rock Band, I’ll have to assume the latter.

I think the Wii is just to let you know it would work with it. Use the Rock Band mic for Boogie!
I wonder if Rock Band will release new and improved instruments in the future?
